Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated sequel Pushpa: The Rule Postponed!

Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated sequel, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’, originally set for release on August 15, has encountered a delay as per reports. Director Sukumar is reportedly still wrapping up the film’s shooting and subsequent post-production tasks. New movies in the Tamil and Hindi film industries are now vying for the coveted August 15 slot. The creators of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ have not yet issued an official statement addressing the recent speculations about the delay.

Rumors swirling on social media suggest that ‘Pushpa 2’ may face a delay of a few months. Sources indicate that there remains about a month’s worth of shooting to be completed, with Sukumar aiming to finish by July. Although an official confirmation is pending, it appears that distributors within trade circles have already been informed of this decision.

Due to its original August 15 release date, several films from various industries have chosen alternative dates to avoid clashing with Allu Arjun’s upcoming film. Consequently, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ has now slated its theatrical debut for August 15.

The producers of ‘Pushpa 2’ have rolled out the teaser and two songs as part of their promotional strategy. ‘Pushpa: The Rule’, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, serves as a sequel to ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The latter hit theaters in December 2021, smashing box office records. With Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna also in pivotal roles, this film has been in the works for over a year now.
